Having fun with the new gear

Hola hola,

it's amazing how my photography kit changed so quicly. I took a few shoot today with my new Sony A7 and the Rokinon 14mm f2.8 wide angle lens. And guys, this combo is really fun to shoot.

I am trying to get into architecture and real estate photography and I this this combination will be very good for that use.

In the mean time here is a fun pic I took with it

Enjoy

It's Christmas before the hour... got a shiny new toy!

Woohoo,

The postman came earlier than expected, and he came with a gift:

The timing was really amazing, I managed to sell my NEX-6 early this week along with 3 lenses and today my new A7 came by mail.

You can see it here already attached to my trusty 55mm f1.2... and i can tell you I love the rendering of f1.2 on the full frame sensor of the A7. Overall the image quality seem very promising and I can wait to take it out for a spin.

I still have to sell one of my favorite lenses here because it is an APC lens and I have to rebuild a collection of lenses. Tomorrow I should get my Rokinon 14mmm which is going to be a great addition to the family!

More on this later, got to go shoot!

I am a cameraless photographer... hopefully not for too long!

Hey everyone,

You know how sometimes things fall in place perfectly, well this story is about one of those cases.

I use goofbid (more on that later) to track good deals on ebay and used their (free) service to win an auction for a brand new Sony A7.

I had an amazing price so when I saw I wont it I decided to go for it. This is going to be my first full frame camera, and I am really excited to see what I will be able to capture with this baby.

That's meant that I had to speed up the selling of my other camera, the NEX-6. Luckily a gentlemen bought it this week almost as soon as I reposted it on craigslist! He even took a few lenses with the package.

On top of that, I just got an email from ebay telling me that the A7 shipped today, now that's what I call good timing!

Now it is time for me to shop for new lenses as well, I already have my eyes on 2 really good ones that happen to be pretty cheap so come back soon to check out the results. In the mean time I'll be using the kit lens that will come with the A7 as well as my trusty manual lenses that I love so much: the 55mm f1.2 and the 135mm f2.8.

Looking forward to take the new gear out.

What a busy week, unfortunately not in my photo world!

Hey guys,

I don't know about you but this week was just CRAAAZY busy.

Between work (yes i do have to work full time before playing photographer), my aunt visiting (which was great BTW) and doing the lights for the Cabaret on friday night this week felt like a marathon.

So not much on the photography side of things, but i'll remedy to that quickly.

In the mean time I still got to re work on an old photo. I was browsing imy lightroom catalog the other day and this one caught my eye for some reason.

It's funny how some photos can be totally skipped one day and then when you come back to it you end up liking them after all.

Happy Easter everybody

Jeremy
