Californian's sunsets are simply better in winter!

Howdy everyone,

December is here and Christmas is coming up soon. Usually this means cold weather and staying home but in southern California we are lucky enough to still get very nice warm and sunny days. However we do get a bit more clouds than usual during winter, which makes for spectacular sunsets.

Here is a proof from last night shoot in Malibu:

It was definitely worth the drive, plus my dog loves to go to the beach!

I actually took a ton of pictures yesterday, this sunset was simply incredible. We went from blue to gold and the fire red in a few minutes, and I will be posting more photos in the next coming days. Stay tuned!

Tonight's moonrise was simply too good to be missed

Hey everyone,

Being a photographer, you really learn to see things most people ignore. This evening I was walking my dog and after 30 minutes out and on the way back, I noticed the sky was turning all purple and blue. Today was a warm day so we could see the warmth in the air also, and that's when I saw the full moon in the sky.

I was seeing the beautiful red mountains in the back, the sky, the autumn colors (which in LA last about 2-3 weeks), it was almost too good to be true.

So I ran back home, grabbed my camera and my 600mm and took a few shots right in fromt of my house.

Here is one of them.

So next time you head out, look around you, chances are an amazing photo opportunity is just around the corner.

Leaving handicap aside

Hola amigos,

I've been experimenting more with flashes and studio photography lately, I had the opportunity to shoot for the Cabaret Versatile campaign for breast cancer detection as well as for the beautiful Lola Ohlala. We worked on updating her model portfolio over the week end and you'll soon get to see the results of the shoot.

But all that playing around with lights made me want to try new things, and it's kinda hard to experiment on people when they are expecting you to deliver something good right away. So I decided to work on myself. I figured, "heck I know what i want to try, and if i can make it look good on me then it will be easy to do it on anyone after that".

So I will be having fun with self portrait from time to time here on the blog.

I am calling this first entry "leaving handicap aside".

I am usually shy about showing my hand or my leg on pictures but it's a bit concealed and after all it is a part of me. The malformations, the judgement of others, the pain, the tears and the fighting made me who I am today. I've been using that to grow and focus on what is really important in my life. It's only natural that it ends up on one of my photos.

Have a good week!

Jeremy

I am a lucky man!

Hi everyone,

Slowly getting back to the photo rythm, and what better to start again than a photoshoot with my favorite girls from the Cabaret Versatile.

October is breast cancer awareness month so the girls decided to jump on the occasion to promote awareness as well. We had a fun shoot involving feathers and beautiful just covered ladies. Stay tuned for the photoshoot results very soon

In addition, we wrapped the shoot by a few portraits of my lovely wife.

So i can definitely say it, I AM lucky man.
